17th of June 14.00-16.00
During this conference we showcased the artifacts produced by twelve migrant young people living in Scotland. The young people were supported by an international group of artists who worked with them over eight weeks. Their photographs, stories, music and drawings share insights into their lives under Covid-19, and their reintroduction into the world after lockdown. We discussed the way this intervention provided young people with the opportunity to explore the Covid-19 crisis and develop their English language skills. We also shared our fieldwork stories, and the high and lows experienced by us all – young people, artists, teachers and researchers.
